Jeremiah 8:20 (NKJV)
“The harvest is past,
The summer is ended,
And we are not saved!”
I’m overwhelmed thinking about so many that are ignoring the truth that affects how they live their lives and where they will spend eternity. Today, sin is so common it’s lost its shock value.
Folks block out serious thought with other activities and rarely allow for quiet contemplation. Folks distract themselves; they keep the TV blaring or the music loud enough so they don’t have to think about the reality that there is a God, that His Word is true, and that He has expectations of those who would be saved.
Even though their choices have eternal ramifications to themselves and their families, they block out truth because it demands a reaction and they feel it’s too enormous to handle…all the while forgetting Jesus promised His burden is light.
Friends, just be faithful to the journey, stay engaged, Jesus will hold your hand through failure and every obstacle.
Why continue to ignore or pretend not to know what your God-shaped hole tells you is true?
So I’m asking, if not now, when?
I hear the scripture say: “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of of salvation”. (II Corinthians 6:2)
Why not repent? Then make your way faithfully to a church that’ll tell you the truth in love, then start your day in prayer and bible reading. Today is a new day! You have eyes…see! You have ears…hear! You have understanding…allow yourself to “GET IT!” Because there’s no one more blind then someone who will not see.
I love you all so much, but more importantly God does 🙂
